Make an entrance with an aluminium door

Whether you are looking for the perfect entrance door to compliment your windows or looking for side or back door made in the same style as your bifold doors, you can achieve it with an aluminium door.

Strong, secure and highly durable, aluminium is an ideal material for making entrance doors, and is popular for both new build and refurbishment projects. AluK’s aluminium door systems can be fabricated in a wide range of styles and configurations, and with a variety of glazing options to suit the style of your home.

The Perfect Configuration

Whether you are replacing an existing door or building from new, our aluminium doors give you lots of choice in the configuration you choose. Our 58BD Door System comes in a standard and flush option and is available in both open-in and open-out, in single and double door configurations. It couples with our window profiles so you can have matching side windows or top lights above your door to really maximise a larger space while keeping the same uniform aesthetic.

Because of the strength of aluminium and the weight capacity of the hinges used, our doors can be made much larger than UPVc doors, up to 1200 wide and 2400 high. And the sightlines remain slim, giving you the option of larger glazing areas if bringing light into the inside space is a design requirement.

Our F82 Bifold Door also offers entrance door options. With a midrail option, you can create single and double doors with panels or transoms, giving you the choice of adding letterbox if desired. This flexibility allows you to keep the same uniform aesthetic across the exterior of your home for a look that is completely balanced and considered.

Panel Options

When you think of aluminium doors, often the designs that spring to mind are ultra-modern. Indeed, there are many panel options that complement modern properties. Horizontal panels fabricated in full without glass offer a fresh, minimal aesthetic very popular right now, especially in brighter contrasting colours. The addition of longer stainless-steel handles and unobtrusive locks completes this high-impact look.

But with a change of direction, panel doors are equally at home in period and traditional properties. Slimmer vertical panels can replicate the look of timber doors, but without the upkeep associated with treating and repainting timber. Similarly, by using aluminium transoms separated by glass panels, you can create a door that compliments the horizontal glazing bars in 1920s properties.

Door Configuration Options

Aluminium doors can be designed to fit seamlessly into more traditional and period homes. We have a variety of options that replicate classic Victorian and Edwardian timber doors, using transoms and mullions to create one, two, four and six-pane doors with the traditional solid panel below the letter box. The combination of timeless style with all the modern benefits of aluminium make these doors ultra-secure, highly energy-efficient, durable and almost maintenance-free.

Get inspired with colour

Get inspired with our Colour Collection and find the shade that really makes a first impression. From rich red to jet black to soft green-grey hues, the colour of your front door is a personal reflection of your style and personality, and our colour collection has a vast array of choices, from heritage to contemporary. The powder-coating process not only gives you options of smooth matt or textured finishes, but ensures that your aluminium door withstands scratches and knocks over time. Extremely durable and resistant to corrosion, these long-lasting finishes offer an almost maintenance-free solution for high-traffic areas.

This year’s most popular colour combination is ultimate grey and bright yellow. Read our Inspiration Case Study to find out more.
